UI Residence Hall Association Places Second
The University of Idaho Residence Hall Association recently placed second in the prestigious School of the Year Award during the National Association of College and University Residence Hall’s annual conference.
More than 270 universities presented nominations for this year’s award. Joe McKenna, RHA national communication coordinator, wrote a 35-page bid highlighting the RHA and residence life at UI. The nominations emphasized social, educational and leadership opportunities, including Penny Wars, Tower Trick or Treat and Paint the Palouse.

The University of Idaho Alumni Association and Student Alumni Relations Board (SArb) received a bronze medal in Student Involvement Programs from the Council for Advancement Services and Support of Education (CASE) Circle of Excellence national awards program.
Tim Helmke is the adviser for SArb, which was formed in 1969 to increase awareness of the Alumni Association among students and to provide leadership and networking opportunities between students and alumni.
