Nic’S Getz Gets All-Conference Honor

North Idaho College sophomore basketball player Anna Getz was selected to the Scenic West Athletic Conference first team.

Getz is joined by Eastern Utah’s Brittany Hanks, Dixie’s Caroline Heaton, Ricks’ Jamie Critchfield, Snow’s Nicole Paul and Utah Valley’s Bekka Carlson.

Second-team members were Mandie Little of Ricks, Southern Idaho’s Sara Cellan, Salt Lake’s Tara Cook and Kristie Fehr, Utah Valley’s Kristen Saliby and Snow’s Anna Bateman.

NIC’s freshman center Heather Cox received honorable mention along with Snow’s Casey Cooke, Colorado Northwestern’s Alicia Uresk and Ashlee Grange, Eastern Utah’s Krishelle Jesse, Dixie’s Beverly Glover, Ricks’ Jessica Blake and Treasure Valley’s Shari Moulton.

NIC sophomore guard Jerry Petty was named to the men’s second team.

Region 18 Tournament runner-up Dixie had three first-team members: Vance Lawhorn, Maurice Baker and Marcus Banks. CSI’s Matt Siebrandt, Salt Lake’s Travis Spivey and Snow’s Justin Bradshaw.

The second team consisted of Petty, Utah Valley’s Scott Sonnenberg, Dan Beus of Ricks, Salt Lake’s Carmie Olowoyo, Colorado Northwestern’s Beau Barney and CSI’s Kenny Brunner.
