Celtic Harpist, Storyteller Patrick Ball Plays Sandpoint
Celtic harp player Patrick Ball returns to the Inland Northwest for a concert of Irish ballads and storytelling tonight at 8 at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint.
Ball performs regularly in the Inland Northwest, combining the rich traditions of Celtic culture in his concerts.
The harp Ball plays was constructed in the traditional Celtic way, with 32 strings made of brass and the harp body of hardwood. Like his ancestors, Ball plays the harp with his fingernails.
Although raised in California, Ball spent time in Ireland, learning the music and history.
Tickets to tonight’s concert are $10, $8 for seniors and students, available at Monarch Mountain Coffee, Java Adagio and Eve’s Leaves in Sandpoint.
