Top returners: Paul Pecor, senior, outfielder/first baseman; Rian Comer, junior, right-handed pitcher/catcher; Brooks Carver, sophomore, of/rhp; Eric Church, soph., rhp/of; Dominic Dire, soph., shortstop; Chris Stoddard, soph., second baseman.

Top newcomer: Cody Ganz, sr., lhp/1b.

Coach’s comments: “We have some kids who’ve played a year, but we’re a long ways from being a contender. We’re still raw.”

Outlook: Six starters return, but the Miners are still young overall. Of two seniors, one will start. The Miners started as many as six freshmen at times last year. The future is promising.
