Gregory Raugust Coeur d’Alene

No service will be held for Gregory Eitel Raugust, 51. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Raugust died March 11.

He was a fifth-generation Coeur d’Alene native and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1967.

Mr. Raugust had worked in the electronics industry until retiring at the age of 39. He then pursued interests in law and medicine.

He was also a longtime social activist involved with promoting legislation aimed at protecting children.

Survivors include a brother, Michael Raugust of Post Falls; two nieces; and numerous other relatives.

Carley Hill St. Maries

Graveside service for Carley Anne Hill, born March 16, will be today at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries. Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries is in charge of arrangements.

Carley was born in Spokane and died later the same day.

Survivors include her parents, Gary Hill Jr. and Renee Darden, of St. Maries; grandparents, Gary and Phyllis Hill, and Jack and Jeanne Darden, all of St. Maries; and great-grandparents, Ella Jean Hill, and Ed and Edith Porret, all of St. Maries, Frances Darden of Norfolk, Va., and Virginia and Maurice Mauler of Potlatch, Idaho.

Howard Bowe Chewelah, Wash.

Memorial service for Howard Bowe, 92, will be at 2 p.m. today at Summit Valley Community Church near Addy, Wash. Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Spokane, Mr. Bowe died Friday.

In 1910 his family moved west of Addy by horse-drawn wagons. He farmed in the Addy area until 1950 and then operated a sawmill.

Mr. Bowe was a member of Summit Valley Community Church Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Bessie; four sons, Don and Daniel Bowe, both of Addy, Dennis Bowe of Colville, Wash., and Delbert Bowe of Libby, Mont.; a daughter, Dolores Crisp of Addy; a brother, Ronald Bowe of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Dorothy Winkleman of Spokane; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Doris Hermansen Sandpoint

Memorial service for Doris Elizabeth Hermansen, 81, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint.

Mrs. Hermansen, who was born in Alden Station, Pa., died March 12 in Golden, Colo., while visiting her daughter.

She graduated from high school in Alden Station in 1937 and graduated from nurses training in Wilkes Barre, Pa. in 1940.

Mrs. Hermansen joined the Army in 1941 and served as a nurse during World War II.

In 1946 she married Paul Hermansen. They lived in Aruba until settling in Golden in 1960.

She was the director of a nursing home in Golden until retiring in 1973 and moving to Sandpoint.

Mrs. Hermansen was a swimmer and cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris Hermansen of Golden; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Gary Aspinwall Spokane

No service will held for Gary D. Aspinwall, 41. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Coeur d’Alene, Mr. Aspinwall died Friday He lived in Spokane for the past 13 years.

He is survived by his parents, George and Ruth Aspinwall; and a brother, George Aspinwall.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Irma Van Assen Spokane

No service will be held for Irma Jennie Van Assen, 74. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Dover, N.J., Mrs. Van Assen died Saturday.

She lived in Spokane for 13 years and was a homemaker.

Her husband of 52 years, Gary, died in 1998.

Survivors include a son, Gary Van Assen of Rathdrum, Idaho; a brother, Johnny Lawrey of Florida; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Julie Thibault Rathdrum, Idaho

Service for Julie G. Thibault, 49, will be today at 11 a.m. at Living Hope Church in Coeur d’Alene with a reception to follow at the church. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Thibault, who was born in Miami, died Monday.

She grew up in Miami and worked in various sales positions in the Miami area.

In 1990 she married Joe Thibault and they traveled the country on motorcycles before settling in Rathdrum in 1993. They owned Northwest Metal Designs Inc., a rustic home furnishings business in Rathdrum.

Mrs. Thibault was a member of Grace Family Worship Center in Post Falls. She was active in gardening and outdoor recreation sports.

Survivors include her husband; her parents, Richard and Nella Grannis of Port Orange, Fla.; two brothers, Richard Grannis Jr. of Naples, Fla., and Rodney Weisman of Tallahassee, Fla.; and a sister, Susan Cooley of Ann Arbor, Mich.

Norman Foedish Spokane

Memorial service for Norman Herbert Foedish, 73, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Spokane, Mr. Foedish died Sunday.

He served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946 and then in the Air Force from 1957 to 1959.

Mr. Foedish worked for Boeing for two years. He returned to Spokane in the 1960s and was a salesman for various men’s clothing stores in Spokane. In 1995 he opened Men’s Affordable Clothing, selling men’s specialty clothing out of his home.

He was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church and the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Association.

Mr. Foedish is survived by his wife, Edith.
