Louie, Matheson, Sijohn Win Cda Vote

Norma Jean Louie, along with incumbents Chuck Matheson and Francis SiJohn, were elected to the Coeur d’Alene Indian tribal council on Saturday.

A total of 393 tribal members voted, said tribe staff member Vicki Boyle. The vote tally was Matheson, 189; Louie, 179; and SiJohn, 170.

The winners will serve three-year terms on the seven-person council. Other candidates were Sylvia Bahez, Leta Campbell, Roberta Juneau, Charles Morris II, Alfred Nomee and Norm Campbell.
