Suspected Thieves Held At Gunpoint

A property owner held two men at gunpoint Tuesday after they allegedly burglarized his property.

William Edgar McLeskey Jr., 24, and Josiah Israel DeMeire, 25, both of Post Falls, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and grand theft at a home on Triangle Seven Road, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies were called to the house around 2:40 p.m. for a trespassing report. While on their way, deputies were told the property owner had gone outside to investigate.

When they arrived, deputies discovered both men being held at gunpoint, according to reports.

After a preliminary investigation, both men were arrested.
