Genevieve M. Davey Spokane

Genevieve M. Davey is celebrating her 101st birthday today. She was born in Rockford on Nov. 15, 1899, and has been a life-long resident of the Northwest. She is currently living at Svea’s Scandinavian Family Home in Spokane.

She married Martin Davey in 1920 and was a homemaker. Her only son, Martin Davey Jr., died. She was very active in her church.

She attributes a good outlook on life, working hard and healthy country living to her longevity. Some of her most memorable moments in history over the past 100 years have been the sinking of the R.M.S. Titanic in April 1912, World War II and the Kennedy assasination.
