Alleged Robber Turns Himself In
A 21-year-old man who allegedly robbed five North Side businesses over seven days turned himself in to Spokane police Wednesday, Detective Sgt. Jerry Frye said.
Frye said Samuel E. Stevenson held up a Shuck’s Auto Supply, Five Mile Beauty Salon, Safeway, Conoco Mart and a Papa Murphy’s - twice - between Sept. 26 and Oct. 2.
Detective George Benavidez briefly interviewed Stevenson before booking him into jail on five counts of first-degree robbery and another of attempted first-degree robbery.
Police said Stevenson has no prior felony arrests in the Spokane area.
