Cheney clinched at least a share of the top spot in the Frontier League with a 24-14 win over Clarkston in Cheney.
The Blackhawks stayed on the ground in the first half to open an early lead.
Ben Woodard’s 33-yard run and Rhett Humphrey’s 36-yard scamper gave Cheney a 14-0 lead at halftime.
Clarkston rallied with a pair of rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Mario Hernandez had an 8-yard touchdown and Brian Hocum added a 15-yard score.
Jason Clovis caught four passes for 104 yards for Clarkston (3-4, 2-4). Brian Baugh was 19 of 30 passing for 181 yards.
Clarkston outgained Cheney 229 total yards to 151.
