Since last Christmas, Hyde has called the shelter his home. It’s not from lack of effort on his part. Walk by his pen and he’ll jump to the ceiling to suggest, “Pick me! Pick me!” He had a trial in an adoptive home, but it failed after Hyde chased horses like they were kittens. With his puppyish energy, he is the worst possible candidate to be cooped up in a shelter, yet right now holds the distinction as the dog who has resided there the longest. He has a dominant nature, but he’s smart. Really smart. Like, “This dog needs a job” smart. He needs an owner who will invest training time. With one blue eye and one brown, he’s a unique-looking critter, and a Guardian Angel will pick up part of his adoption fee. Visit Kootenai Humane Society at 11650 N. Ramsey Road in Hayden Lake or call 772-4019.
