Feature creature
A temporary placement didn’t work out too well for this older pup. Sinbad wouldn’t leave his foster mother’s side. He spent most of his eight years with one family until it moved and left him among 200 other animals at the Kootenai Humane Society. Now Sinbad seeks a family that can handle a constant companion. He dislikes being left alone and has been known to whine about it. Sinbad bonds quickly with humans, makes friends easily with other dogs, and tolerates cats. Mostly, he just wants to be with his “person.” He has a shepherd’s innate protectiveness but never harmed a soul. Though a big boy, he doesn’t jump up and is said to do well on a leash with reminders not to pull. He would be ideal for someone who likes the security of a guard dog but the warmth of a loving pet. Sinbad is on a special diet due to a corn allergy. If you would like him by your side, contact the Kootenai Humane Society at 772-4019 or stop by the shelter at 11650 N. Ramsey Road, Hayden Lake.
