Kootenai County sheriff

Scott Hoskins, employee of Verizon, reported Monday the $1,500 theft of a winch from a snow vehicle at the business at 747 W. Prairie Ave.

Steven Blamford, Chehalis, Wash., reported Monday the $1,029 theft of tools, jumper cables and miscellaneous items from a 1998 Ford pickup parked on the 3200 block of East Rivercrest Drive near Post Falls.
