Luther Head scored 26 points and Dee Brown hit two 3-pointers down the stretch to seal top-ranked and unbeaten Illinois’ 70-59 victory over No. 20 Wisconsin on Saturday in Champaign, Ill.

The Illini tied the school record with their 25th consecutive win. That streak was set over three seasons from February 1914 to February 1916. It was Illinois’ 19th straight win at home and was played before a record Assembly Hall crowd of 16,865.

Brown, who played in foul trouble most of the game, hit the first big 3 with 3:10 to go and only 2 seconds remaining on the shot clock to end a 6-2 run by the Badgers and give Illinois (25-0, 11-0 Big Ten) a 57-49 lead. He hit the second with 1:43 left to give the Illini an insurmountable 62-51 lead.

Alando Tucker scored 24 points for the Badgers (16-6, 7-4).

(3) Kansas 89, Colorado 60: Wayne Simien had 25 points and 12 rebounds and sparked a key surge in the second half that carried the Jayhawks (20-1, 10-0 Big 12) past the Buffaloes (12-10, 4-7) in Lawrence, Kan.

It was the 31st victory for the Jayhawks in their last 32 games against Colorado.

(5) Kentucky 60, Georgia 51: Chuck Hayes and Patrick Sparks each scored 14 points and the Wildcats (19-2, 10-0 Southeastern Conference) held off a late run by the Bulldogs (7-14, 1-10) in Lexington, Ky.

Kentucky led by as many as 21 points in the second half, but Georgia rallied within 55-50 with 2 minutes left.

(6) Wake Forest 87, Florida State 48: Justin Gray scored 20 points, Eric Williams had 15 points and a career-high 14 rebounds and the Demon Deacons (21-3, 9-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) avenged a heartbreaking loss earlier in the season by routing the Seminoles (11-13, 3-8) in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Wake Forest lost in overtime at Tallahassee three weeks ago.

Maryland 99, (7) Duke 92 (OT): Travis Garrison had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and the Terrapins (15-7, 6-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) wore down the Blue Devils (18-3, 8-3) in an overtime victory in College Park, Md.

(9) Louisville 65, South Florida 57: Ellis Myles scored 15 points and Taquan Dean and Larry O’Bannon each added 13 as the Cardinals (21-4, 9-2 Conference USA) struggled for the second straight game in a win over the Bulls (10-12, 3-8) in Louisville, Ky.

The Cardinals shot a season-low 33 percent in an 85-68 loss to Memphis on Wednesday and looked just as out of sync against the Bulls.

(10) Oklahoma State 66, Texas A&M 59: John Lucas III scored 18 points, Joey Graham added 17 and the Cowboys (19-3, 9-2 Big 12) recovered from poor first-half shooting to beat the Aggies (15-6, 4-6) in College Station, Texas.

After the Aggies pulled to 62-59, Ivan McFarlin scored three points in the final minute to ensure the Cowboys’ fifth straight win. Oklahoma State shot just 37 percent in the first half.

(13) Michigan State 64, Michigan 49: Alan Anderson scored 16 points and Shannon Brown had eight of his 14 in the opening minutes as the Spartans (17-4, 8-2 Big Ten) cruised past the Wolverines (12-13, 3-8) in Ann Arbor, Mich.
