Thanks to its abysmal performance in ESPN Bracket Buster games last Saturday, the Big Sky fell to 30th in the league RPI rankings, just ahead of independent teams and the Southwestern Conference. … With Portland State losing by 21 at Middle Tennessee, led by former Idaho coach Kermit Davis, Weber State losing by 14 at Boise State and Northern Arizona by 15 at Tulsa, BSC teams finished 44-61 in non-conference games, 30-61 against D-I opponents. … Idaho State failed to hit a 3-pointer at Eastern on Saturday, the first time in coach Doug Oliver’s seven seasons they didn’t nail one. … PSU’s Seamus Boxley set school records for games played (111) and blocked shots in a season (35). … Weber’s win at Eastern was its first on the road in conference play. … The state of Utah has the nation’s top two rebounders: Andrew Bogut of former EWU coach Ray Giacoletti‘s 13th-ranked Utah (11.85) and Weber’s Lance Allred (11.76). … Eastern has two double-doubles, both by Matt Nelson, fewest in the conference. Every other team has at least two players with a double-double.
