Chaos already has emerged at the District 7 girls tournament, where sixth-seeded Medical Lake (7-15), losers of 10 straight heading into the postseason, knocked off Deer Park (15-6) in overtime in the first round. This year could end up a lot like last year, when Lakeside’s boys came out of the middle of the pack to win the tournament, and Riverside’s girls finished the regular season with a near-perfect record only to lose two straight and miss a trip to the state tournament.
