Down by two late in the fourth quarter, Lakeside salvaged a Great Northern League victory at Riverside by going on a 7-2 run to end to earn a 51-48 win on Tuesday.

The Eagles connected on 16 of 24 from the free-throw line.

Kelsey Stillar led the Eagles with 16 points, connecting on 5 of 8 field goals. Kia Gibson and Tiffany Corigliano teamed for 21 points for Lakeside (9-2, 2-1). Brittney Paul’s 12 points paced the Rams (8-1, 1-1).

Broncos win on the road

Lind-Ritzville built a seven-point lead in the first half and maintained it to take a 46-40 victory over host Wilbur-Creston. Destry Killian scored 12 points to lead the Broncos (3-5, 3-3). Zenda Reidt led all scorers with 17 points for the Wildcats (4-5, 4-3).

Nighthawks defeat Gar-Pal

In a showdown of ranked Class B teams, Tekoa-Oakesdale earned a 51-42 victory over visiting Garfield-Palouse. The Nighthawks, ranked No. 9 in the state in one poll, held Gar-Pal, the No. 1-ranked team, to 19 points through the first three quarters. Mallory Puckett scored 23 points and Darcie Chappell added 14 for Tekoa-Oakesdale (7-3, 4-1), which moved into a first-place tie in the league. Holli Holbrook had 18 points to lead the Vikings (11-1, 4-1). … St. John-Endicott 56, Rosalia 36: The Eagles built a 35-19 lead at halftime and cruised to the victory over the visiting Spartans. Katie Corder’s 12 points paced SJE (9-3, 4-1). Clara Harston had 16 points to lead Rosalia (3-10, 0-5).

Republic steals win over Chargers

Down by three at halftime, Republic stole a 53-33 victory over visiting Springdale. The Tigers came up with 21 steals in the game and opened the second half with an 18-7 run. Sarah Knapton and Melissa Whitney combined for 23 points, and Randi Koontz added five assists and four steals to lead Republic (5-5, 3-3). The Chargers fell to 3-9, 1-5.

Stags take charge at Timberlake

Deer Park scored a 68-26 victory over host Timberlake (4-10) at Spirit Lake. The Stags (8-1) were led by Laura Gibson, who scored 13 of her 20 points in the first quarter. Lynsie Powers had 15 points for Timberlake. … Kittitas 64, Almira/Coulee-Hartline 42: Cristina Bruketta scored 23 points as the host Coyotes defeated the Warriors in a rematch of last year’s State B semifinal, won by ACH. Kami Clark scored 17 to lead the Warriors (5-2). …Colfax 42, Warden 32: The Bulldogs erupted for 21 points in the third quarter to topple the host Tigers. Katie Burns had 17 points to lead Colfax (8-5). …Soap Lake 47, Odessa 42: Soap Lake rallied from a four-point halftime deficit to defeat the visiting Tigers. Andrea Kuch scored 18 points to lead the Tigers (2-7). … Bonners Ferry 64, Newport 55: The host Badgers (6-5) put away the game with a 20-12 fourth quarter. Becky Lowther scored 16 points and Katie Poston 15 to lead BF (6-5). Maria Barranco scored 24 and Megan Stanley 18 for the Grizzlies (5-5).
