Spokane man accused of cutting girlfriend’s face

53-year-old booked into jail on assault charge The Spokesman-Review

A Spokane man was jailed Sunday after he was accused of cutting his girlfriend’s face twice with a kitchen knife and threatening to kill her.

Daniel A. Miller, 53, was booked into jail on one count of first-degree assault. He remained in jail on Tuesday on $75,000 bond.

Miller’s girlfriend of eight months told police that she and Miller had been drinking at his apartment when she refused to perform a sex act with Miller, according to court records. He became angry, grabbed the knife, threatened to kill her, cut her face twice and then cut his hand, the girlfriend said.

The attack ended when a third person knocked on the door and intervened, records say.
