Maurice Greene was strutting again, and he earned the right.

Greene, whose manner of walking is almost as distinctive as his speed on the track, edged Shawn Crawford in the 100-meter run on Saturday at the Reebok Grand Prix in New York. While Crawford wasn’t impressed, just about everyone else was.

“I was born with confidence,” said Greene, 29, the 2000 Olympic champion and a three-time world gold medalist who won in 10.08 seconds. “It’s confidence, but you have to let the race come to you.

Allen Johnson, 34, won a thrilling 110 hurdles. He edged fellow American Dominique Arnold and Olympic champion Liu Xiang of China. A week ago, Johnson false-started out of the Prefontaine Classic, which Liu won. This time, Liu had a false start, which hindered him in the race.

Arnold led deep into the race before Johnson surged to the tape in 13.02, one of six world bests in the meet.

Botero, a former world time-trial champion, won the stage in 4 hours, 30 minutes, 54 seconds.

Inigo Landaluze of Spain kept the leader’s yellow jersey with one stage remaining. Botero was 49 seconds back with American Levi Leipheimer in third, 1:16 behind.
