Meeting will introduce Chefs Collaborative

Spokane chefs and cooks interested in supporting local growers and sustainable agriculture are invited to a meeting to introduce the Chefs Collaborative.

The national organization of chefs promotes connecting local farmers to restaurants by supporting artisanal producers, local growers, sustainable growing and conservation practices. The meeting will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Community Building, 35 W. Main St.

National program director Jennifer Hall will introduce the Chefs Collaborative and its work, and share some ideas for promoting sustainability in the Spokane area.

Lora Lea Misterly, of Quillisascut Cheese Farm, will talk about its culinary farm school.
