Seeking posh medical offices

The Spokesman-Review

Spending time in a doctor’s office waiting room is often like being holed up in a jail cell. You’re trapped there, sitting on a hard bench, paging through some dog-eared magazine from three years ago.

But some medical offices have ditched prison décor in favor of something straight out of House & Garden. Plushy couches. Modern lighting. Fancy fish tanks. You name it.

The Health section of The Spokesman-Review is hoping to find the poshest medical-office waiting room in the Inland Northwest. Is there a doctor’s or dentist’s office that’s so nicely decorated that you actually don’t mind waiting a few extra minutes? Send us a couple of sentences describing the waiting room, along with the name of the practice, and your name and number.

A story featuring the fanciest digs will appear in the paper in coming weeks. Send entries to staff writer Heather Lalley, 999 W. Riverside Ave., Spokane, WA 99201 or e-mail to heatherl@ spokesman.com.
