‘Banner’ deserved better
I am an old guy. Born and raised in the good old USA. I am a handicapped person from childhood who was abused, cheated and could swear better in Spanish than speak English.
In the ‘30s I learned I was lucky to be born in America.
When in school we said good morning to the teacher, the Pledge of Allegiance to our country and set out to learn the good and bad of its laws.
Over the years as a young man I learned there are laws and whatever is between a person’s ears can be warped so far out of shape it lacks the original meaning or thought. This applies to our country’s music.
There are still a few of us who were born and raised in poverty who know what the Star Spangled Banner when sung should sound its meaning. During the Super Bowl, our National Anthem was sung or warped so far the lyrics and sound were hardly distinguishable.
There are a lot of hungry celebrities out there who would do anything for a buck. It stinks. It makes one a little angry. What is a celebrity?
