Hobbies: Armchair mountaineering (since I hurt my hip doing actual mountaineering.) Also surfing conservative Web sites.

What do you like about North Idaho? The friendly people and northwoods lifestyle.

What do you like about the current season? I like the four seasons. I like the winter, but it also makes you appreciate spring when it comes. Also the challenge of getting through the snow.

Favorite music: Classic country and oldies rock.

Favorite movie: “Tombstone.”

Favorite spot in North Idaho? Coeur d’Alene Resort and the downtown area.
