Colfax tops Freeman in title game rematch
Lauren Mellor had 10 points and seven rebounds as Colfax defeated host Freeman 48-46 in a Northeast A League game Friday night that featured the finalists of last year’s State 1A championship game.
Meagan Teade also scored 10 points for the Bulldogs (10-3, 2-0), who defeated the Scotties 53-44 for the 2005 state championship.
Kelsey Raines scored 22 to lead Freeman (10-2, 1-1), and Jessie DePell had 15 points and six rebounds.
