Tar Heels trip Duke

Erlana Larkins had 17 of her season-high 23 points in the second half, and third-ranked North Carolina rallied to beat No. 2 Duke 74-70 Sunday night in Durham, N.C.

Since the Blue Devils knocked off No. 1 Tennessee earlier in the week, the winner in this rivalry was all but assured of moving to the top spot when the Associated Press poll is released today.

It would be the first time North Carolina has been No. 1, and would Duke (20-1, 7-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) the same honor. The Tar Heels (20-0, 7-0) also remained the only unbeaten team in Division I with their fourth straight victory over the Blue Devils.
