RiverHawks rally past Knights
Darin Holcomb delivered a two-run single in the bottom of the eighth inning and the Spokane RiverHawks rallied from a three-run deficit to beat the Aloha Knights 5-3 on Saturday at Avista Stadium.
Spokane (14-5) stretched its lead in the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League to three games over the second-place Knights (11-8). The teams square off in a doubleheader at Avista today beginning at noon.
RiverHawks starter Cory Powell (2-0) surrendered three runs through the first four innings, before settling into a groove. He allowed just five hits and a pair of walks, while striking out seven in his eight-inning stint.
