Farmers’ market closes

The Moran Prairie Farmers’ Market has closed for the season.

Market manager Holli Parker said the market closed because there weren’t enough customers to support the farmers who were coming each week. It was also difficult to get farmers to come to a Sunday market, she says.

The market was held each Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. near the corner of Thurston Avenue and Regal Street.

Parker, who also oversees the Liberty Lake Farmers’ Market, said they plan to reevaluate the location and day of the Moran Prairie market and restart it next year.
