Braves 10, Phillies 8: At Philadelphia, Adam LaRoche homered twice, driving in four runs and Todd Pratt added a homer as Atlanta built a big lead and then held off a late rally for a victory over the Phillies.

Cubs 8, Mets 7: At New York, Greg Maddux won to put an end to his six-game losing streak, tying Eddie Plank for 12th on the career win list with his 326th, and Aramis Ramirez and Jacque Jones hit consecutive homers as Chicago topped the Mets.

Brewers 12, Pirates 8: At Milwaukee, Bill Hall hit two two-run homers and Carlos Lee had one as Milwaukee racked up 15 hits to beat Pittsburgh for only its fourth win in the last 13 games. Doug Davis allowed six runs and 10 hits in six innings for the Brewers.

Rockies 7, Cardinals 0: At Denver, Jeff Francis retired the first 15 batters and threw a perfect game into the sixth, finishing with a two-hitter for his first shutout and Garrett Atkins and Clint Barmes homered for Colorado.

Padres 7, Dodgers 6 (11): At Los Angeles, Josh Bard had a two-out RBI single in the 11th inning, Mike Cameron hit a three-run homer and San Diego outlasted Los Angeles, handing the Dodgers their sixth straight loss.
