Former University High and Central Washington University receiver Jake Roberts has been assigned to the Spokane Shock by the Arena League office, the Shock announced Tuesday.
Roberts graduated from U-Hi in 1999 and had 67 catches for 838 yards and 12 touchdowns for CWU in 2003.
“I’m feeling good about the upcoming season,” Roberts said. “I’m really excited to get back in the game and back in the area.”
Spokane opens the arenafootball2 season March 30 against the Stockton Lightning.

Alex Prugh (Ferris High) had Washington’s top score at the Ashworth Invitational in Thousand Oaks, Calif., placing 14th with a 4-over-par 217 at North Ranch Country Club.
Prugh finished 13 shots behind Oklahoma’s Anthony Kim.
