Wine, Stein and Dine Saturday

Lorie Hutson Food editor

Celebrate the 10th anniversary of Wine, Stein and Dine on Saturday and help raise money for Post Falls students.

The Post Falls Education Foundation is hosting the event, which features more than 100 wineries, 22 breweries and 15 restaurants. The money raised helps the nonprofit group offer teachers grant money for innovative classroom materials that otherwise would not be in the budget. In the past nine years the group has raised more than $160,000.

The event is Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Greyhound Park and Events Center in Post Falls. Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 at the door. Tickets are available at Idaho Washington Trust Banks, the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce, Post Falls Super One, Connected Northwest Insurance in Post Falls and Vino! A Wine Shop, in Spokane.

Winter Market at the Community Building

If the end-of-winter blues is starting to take its toll, dream about the growing season at an indoor Winter Market on Friday at the Community Building, 35 W. Main St. There will be Italian fare from the Barn at Trezzi Farm, organic breads from Arabesque Farms, desserts from BitterSweet Bakery and Bistro, Almond Roca from Joe Comine, flowers and eggs from the Fussy Hen, local honey and other local products.

There also will be live music by Ruby Devine and The Big Red Barn. The market will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
