Occupation: Owner, Idaho Specialties Shops, opening at 296 W. Sunset Ave., Suite 10 (Sunset Mall).

Family: Husband, Jerry; daughters, Wendy and Angela; son, Aaron; nine grandchildren.

Hobbies: Visiting other gift shops, talking business with other owners, relaxing and going to yard sales in summer.

What do you like about North Idaho? The people. I meet a lot of down-to-earth types who like to share their personal stories. I like that.

What do you like/dislike about the current season? Everything is so gray – there is no color outside this time of year.
