Baseball
•Greater Spokane League: Clarkston rallied in the ninth inning in game one, then poured in the runs in game two to sweep a doubleheader from visiting Cheney 6-5 and 10-1. Trailing 5-3 in the bottom of the ninth, Trent Line doubled in two runs and Cheney gave up a bases-loaded walk to end the first game. In the second game, the Bantams jumped ahead early, scoring six runs in the first two innings. Jacob Acey had a two-run homer in the fifth for Clarkston. Line finished the day with five hits, including three doubles.
Softball
•Greater Spokane League: Laura Christianson went 4 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs, and Gonzaga Prep turned in an 18-8 romp over visiting East Valley. Molly Anderson knocked two home runs for four RBIs for the Bullpups (2-3), and Danica Hanley went 2 for 4 with two home runs and five RBIs to lead the Knights (1-4). G-Prep had six players with multiple hits.
Boys soccer
•Greater Spokane League: Travis Green had two goals and two assists, and North Central routed visiting Clarkston 5-0. Zack Saugen and Josh Warner split duties in goal for the Indians (4-2, 2-2) to shut out the Bantams (1-5, 1-3).
Boys golf
•Greater Spokane League: Clarkston shot 400 and took the team title in the first league event of the season at the par-72 Clarkston Country Club. The Bantams’ Joel Dahmen shot par to capture medalist honors.
Girls golf
•Greater Spokane League: Lewis and Clark edged Mead by one stroke, 415-416, to grab the team title in the first league event at the par-71 Quail Ridge Golf Course in Clarkston. Molly Fuhs of LC and Lauren Howell of Mead shared top individual honors with 5-over-par rounds of 76.
