Girls soccer

Jenna Galloway and Dominique Arias scored to lead Ferris past Shadle Park 2-0 in a District 8 4A playoff match Tuesday at Joe Albi Stadium. Ferris (13-3), which outshot the Highlanders 12-6, will play the loser of the Richland/Pasco game Saturday at 5 p.m. at Albi Stadium. Shadle (8-6) has been eliminated.

“ Deer Park beat Colville 4-3 in a shootout in a District 7 2A playoff game and will advance to play No. 1 Cheney (14-2) at 2:30 p.m. Thursday for a chance to go to the state tournament. Makenzie Lowther, Stevie Harris and Olivia Holweger scored goals for the Stags (7-10) in regulation and goalkeeper Mary Kate Willford made six saves. Deer Park outshot the Indians 17-11. Colville (7-8) has been eliminated from postseason play. … In other tournament action, Cory Druffel scored two first-half goals to lead host Pullman past Riverside 4-0. Katie Spangenberg added a goal and two assists for the Greyhounds, who outshot the Rams 14-3. Pullman (16-2) will play at West Valley (11-6) at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in a winner-to-state, loser-out contest. Riverside (6-11) is finished for the season.

“ Brewster beat visiting Lakeside-Nine Mile Falls (11-5) 1-0 in a 1A regional playoff game. The Eagles’ season is over.

Boys soccer

Taylor Baek’s goal in the 23rd minute proved to be enough as host St. George’s blanked Valley Christian (4-5-1) 1-0 in a Northeast B playoff game and will join No. 1 Northwest Christian at the regional playoffs. Ryan Johnson made nine saves for the Dragons. St. George’s (10-3-4) will play the District 5-6 No. 1 seed at 5 p.m. Thursday at Sunnyside High School.

Volleyball

Freeman beat Brewster 23-25, 34-32, 25-17, 25-22 in a 1A regional play-in game at Lake Roosevelt High in Coulee Dam and will advance to the regional tournament at Freeman. Wylie Patton led the Scotties with 24 digs and three aces, and Bree Riddle added 36 assists. Freeman hosts Chelan at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
