Slow down with Slow Food

The Spokesman-Review

Do you like your food slow?

Slow Food, a nonprofit organization founded in 1989, hopes to counteract fast food and fast life. Members want to preserve local food traditions and encourage people to take more interest in the food they eat, from its taste to how food choices affect others.

Moscow freelance writer and foodie Carol Price Spurling is looking into forming a Slow Food group (convivium) for the Inland Empire and Palouse region. If you might be interested in participating, contact Spurling at writer@plumassignment.net.
