Katie Rosner and Kama Griffitts had 14 kills each and Natalie Stewart added 28 assists to help Coeur d’Alene (6-3) knock off Lewiston (7-3) 25-21, 13-25, 25-15, 20-25, 15-7 in an Inland Empire League match Saturday in Lewiston.
Liz Davis added 15 digs and four aces for the Vikings. Kim Fong led the Bengals with 36 assists, 25 digs and three blocks.
Also in the league, Piper Wahlin had 11 kills as host Sandpoint (5-2) beat Post Falls (1-7) 3-1. Koko James added 15 assists for the Bulldogs.
“ Stephanie Squires had 24 assists and four aces and served eight straight points in the fourth game to lead Kellogg (4-1) to a 25-13, 25-18, 26-28, 25-21 win over host Bonners Ferry (0-6) in an Intermountain League match. Marisa Bush added eight kills and six digs for the Wildcats. Katie Poston led the Badgers with 10 kills and seven blocks.
“Kalyn Lovlyn and Katie Baker had five kills each and Shea McHugh added 10 digs to guide host Coeur d’Alene Charter to a 25-17, 17-25, 25-18, 25-17 win over Lakeside in a North Star League match.
Boys soccer
Lake City (11-1-1, 7-1-1) got goals from Tim Schreiber, Evan Palo and Jake Williamson and beat Lewiston (4-6-1, 4-5-1) 3-1 in an Inland Empire League contest in Lewiston. Cody Allen scored the Bengals’ lone goal.
“ Miguel Mendez had two goals to lead host Bonners Ferry (5-3-3, 3-0) to a 4-1 win over St. Maries (3-11, 0-4) in the Intermountain League.
Girls soccer
Eight different players scored a goal as Sandpoint (7-5-4, 5-3-3) rolled to an easy 8-0 win over host Post Falls (2-11-1, 0-9-1) in Inland Empire League action. Katie Adams led the way for the Bulldogs, scoring a goal and dishing out two assists. … Also in the league, Lewiston and Lake City tied 1-1 after both teams failed to score a goal in the second half. Lewiston’s Janie Perez scored in the eighth minute, but Lake City responded in the 32nd minute with a goal.
“ Jennifer Putman scored two goals to lead Bonners Ferry (5-4-1, 4-1-1) to a 3-0 win over visiting St. Maries (4-6-4, 3-1-1) in the Intermountain League. . … Also in the league, Jennie Jasper had a hat trick to lead Orofino (4-4-2, 4-2-2) to a 6-0 win over visiting Priest River (1-5, 1-5).
