New additions set to join Idaho women’s basketball
Five high school players have signed letters of intent to join the University of Idaho’s women’s basketball team, coach Mike Divilbiss announced Thursday.
The group includes guard Carli Bakondy of Texas; wing Emily Doran of Corvallis, Ore.; wing Rachel Kloke of Stanwood, Wash.; post Yinka Olorunnife of Canada; and post La’Kenya Simon-West of California.
Bakondy comes to Idaho after helping Houston’s Cypress-Fairbanks High School to the 5A state championship game. She was chosen to play in the all-state game and was a first-team, all-district selection.
Kloke averaged 23 points, 11.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game as a senior at Stanwood High.
“Amy Bratvold and Tatjana Sparavalo have signed letters of intent to attend Eastern Washington University and play for the women’s basketball team, head coach Wendy Schuller announced.
Bratvold graduated from Twin Falls (Idaho) High before playing at Southern Idaho. At CSI, she was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association All-Region 18 team while averaging 10 points and six rebounds in her sophomore year.
Sparavalo, a 6-foot guard from Kostic Gymnasium High in Novi Sad, Serbia, most recently played for Basketball Club Voivodina Novi Sad.
