SEATTLE – Rachel Dyer had 22 kills and unranked Brigham Young University defeated No. 6 Washington 30-28, 28-30, 25-30, 30-22, 15-13 in the second round of the NCAA tournament at Bank of America Arena on Saturday.

The Huskies held a 2-1 advantage after winning game three, but the Cougars won the next two games for the win.

Stevie Mussie had a postseason record and career-high 35 kills to lead the Huskies. Christal Morrison added 14 kills and 13 digs for her 13th double-double of the season.

Jenna Hagglund dished out 70 assists and Tamari Miyashiro added 13 digs for UW.

Four other players reached double-digit kill totals for BYU (23-7). Erica Lott had 17, Chelsea Goodman had 16, Aston Hansen chipped in 13 and Bryn Porter added 10.

BYU advances to play Middle Tennessee State in regional play in University Park, Pa.

Washington ends its season with a 27-4 record.
