Ducks drub Sacramento State

Maarty Leunen had 23 points and 11 rebounds and No. 16 Oregon, playing without injured leading scorer Malik Hairston, beat Sacramento State 93-66 on Tuesday night at Eugene, Ore.

Joevan Catron added a career-high 20 points for the Ducks (8-1), while Loren Leath led the Hornets (2-7) with 21.

S. Illinois 71, (24) Saint Mary’s 56: At Carbondale, Ill., Bryan Mullins scored 24 points and the Salukis (4-3) spoiled the Gaels’ first game as a ranked team in 18 years with a victory. Saint Mary’s (7-1) was last ranked in March 1989.
