Riki Schiermeister scored a game-high 23 points and Zoe Scott added 17 as University upset Central Valley 61-44 in a Greater Spokane League game Friday night at U-Hi.

The Titans (6-3) outscored the Bears 19-6 in the third to take a 23-point lead into the fourth.

Justine Bowman had 16 points to lead CV (7-2).

Elsewhere in the league, Lexie Pettersen scored 14 points and Bianca Pope added 11 as Shadle Park (6-2) beat Mt. Spokane 56-45 at Spokane Falls Community College. Bianca Armandariz led the Wildcats (4-4) with 14 points. … Courtney Hatch had 14 points and 10 rebounds to guide Ferris to a 53-15 win over visiting Rogers (0-8). Nicole Barber and Amber Quann added 11 points apiece for the Saxons (3-5). … Tifa Puletasi scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Mead to a 78-49 victory at East Valley (1-7). Beth Altena added 16 points for the Panthers (7-1), who outscored the Knights 27-3 in the first quarter. … Tia Presley tossed in 27 points as Gonzaga Prep (3-5) edged host North Central 60-55 in overtime. Andrea DePaolo had 15 points and Stephanie DeGon added 13 to lead the Indians (1-7).
