Southern Idaho rolls past NIC men
TWIN FALLS, Idaho – Brad Garrett recorded a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead Southern Idaho to a 92-73 victory over North Idaho Friday in a Scenic West men’s basketball matchup.
Kerry Williams and Nick Livi each scored 13 to pace the Cardinals (12-9, 4-7). Jamaal Rolle and Steven Weesley chipped in 10 points apiece for NIC. The Cardinals struggled through a 5-for-29 shooting performance from 3-point range that included a 1-for-10 effort from Livi. The Cardinals were outscored 25-21 on the fast break.
Brandon Stores finished with 16 points for the first-place Golden Eagles (19-2, 9-2), who also got 13 points from Kelvin Davis and 10 from Terry Fields.
Southern Idaho outrebounded NIC 64-39, including a 25-13 advantage on the offensive glass, and threw back seven shots while the Cardinals blocked just one. Juan Pattillo chipped in eight points and 12 rebounds, and point guard Reggie Guyton added five points and 10 assists.
