SeatGuru lays out best airline seats

The Spokesman-Review

SeatGuru.com: You don’t have to be an experienced flier to know not all airplanes and not all airplane seats are created equal.

For those wanting more control over where they’re assigned to sit by the airlines, SeatGuru is the ultimate authority on all things related to what’s inside today’s commercial aircraft.

It was developed in 2002 by savvy traveler Matthew Daimler and has expanded to become a regular bookmark for anyone looking to maximize the air travel experience.

It’s primarily visual. It has hundreds of seating charts for nearly every aircraft flown by the commercial companies. Along with the charts are color-coded groupings of seats that are considered good, bad and middling. It also has handy little icons that explain locations of restrooms, satellite radio ports and power outlets.

Another very important feature: identifying which seats don’t recline.

One can also load up a PDA-friendly version at mobile.seatguru.com.
