Pastor Ron Hunter of the Coeur d’Alene Church of the Nazarene, is preparing to lead a team of 52 Christians on a two-week mission trip to Northern Guatemala.

The group will visit the community of La Esperanza Chilatz and its Mayan descendants to conduct medical and dental clinics, help with building construction, and offer training in barbering, basic electricity, woodworking, computing, cooking, sewing, upholstery and small engine repair. Upon completion, the church there will accommodate 3,000 and will be the second largest Church of the Nazarene facility in Central America.

A Sending Service for the team will take place Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Church of the Nazarene, 4000 N. Fourth St.
