Techsters top Vandals
MOSCOW, Idaho – Katie Madison scored a game-high 25 points, but it wasn’t enough as University of Idaho women’s basketball fell to Louisiana Tech 87-66 in Western Athletic Conference play Sunday night at the Cowan Spectrum.
Madison, who also collected 10 rebounds on her way to a double-double, shot 6 of 14 from the floor and 13 of 16 from the free throw line.
Liz Witte scored 15 and Sara Dennehy chipped in with 11 and eight rebounds for the Vandals (3-14, 0-6).
JoKeirra Sneed and Ty Moore led the Techsters (9-10, 4-2), scoring 16 points apiece. Sneed also hauled in 10 rebounds, including five offensive.
Louisiana Tech also received double-digit scoring from Nastassj Levingston (13), Eboni Mangum (11) and Tamika Kursh (10).
Idaho next hits the court on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. home contest against New Mexico State.
