Karl flunks tricky math test

Nuggets coach George Karl did the math and it didn’t add up: Denver star Carmelo Anthony drew a 15-game suspension for his fight, Minnesota’s Kevin Garnett got a one-game penalty for his.

“Obviously, if you land the punch it’s 14 games,” Karl said Monday. “Throwing one is one (game) and hitting (someone) is 14. That’s the equation I read. I’m just a simple guy. I couldn’t pass calculus.”

Garnett sat out Sunday night’s game against Phoenix. He was suspended after throwing a punch at Detroit’s Antonio McDyess on Friday.

‘Bam Bam’ dead at 45

Scott “Bam Bam” Bigelow, the tattooed heavyweight professional TV wrestler, has died. He was 45.

He was found dead in his Hudson, Fla., home Friday, his brother Todd Bigelow said Monday.

Preliminary autopsy results did not show signs of foul play, but a cause of death will not be known until toxicology tests are completed in a few weeks, Pasco County sheriff’s spokesman Doug Tobin said.

Bigelow had been struggling with a persistent infection and diabetes, his brother said.

Bigelow wrestled with Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant during his two decades as an entertainer. His flame-tattooed scalp and 6-foot-2, 400-pound frame made him recognizable in and out of the ring.
