The Spokesman-Review

Redeemer Lutheran Church will host its popular annual community vacation Bible school July 16-20 at the church. Sessions will run daily from 9 to 11:50 a.m. for children age 3 through the sixth grade. The week will include puppet shows, music, videos, games, drama, crafts and more. There is no charge.

Registration is required. Call the church office at 926-6363 to register or for more information. Parents may also register their children online at www.redeemeralive.org. The church is at 3606 S. Schafer Road.

Family fun

Foothills Community Church will host its third annual Foothills Family Fun Festival next Saturday. There will be something for everyone including carnival games, a car show, a craft fair, live music, food, pony rides, an obstacle course, cake walk, bounce house and an obstacle course. The truly hungry also can enter in the pie-eating contest.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the church, 11102 N. Forker Road. Call the church at 926-4971 for more information.

Rummage sale

St. John Vianney Catholic Church will hold its annual rummage sale Friday and next Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Lunch items will be available for purchase. Admission is free. The sale will be in the school gym, 410 N. Farr Road. Call the church at 926-2587 for more information.
