The Nolo weekly podcast is a simple, straightforward summary of issues that families, business owners and students might be puzzling over.

So far the company has produced more than 50 podcasts, each running roughly 10 to 20 minutes.

Episode 53, “Tax Credits,” is timely as it lays out the big differences for taxpayers between credits and tax deductions. This podcast goes into detail on education credits, hybrid autos, small business credits and the solar power credit.

OK, the topic isn’t riveting. No jokes, no gags or loud theme music here.
