Steve Pleau, a Spokane Chiefs assistant coach, will not return to the team next season.
Pleau served one year on the Chiefs bench and helped Spokane make an 11-win turnaround in the standings.
“We expected when we hired Steve it would be short term,” said Chiefs general manager Tim Speltz. “Steve is a very qualified coach and we wish him the best in the future.”
