Mets 6, Marlins 2: At Miami, Carlos Gomez scored the go-ahead run on an error in the ninth inning, and Carlos Beltran’s two-run double broke the game open to help New York beat Florida.

Pirates 10, Reds 4 (10): At Cincinnati, Ronny Paulino’s bases-loaded double fueled a late Pittsburgh rally, an eight-run splurge in the 10th inning that set up a victory over the Reds.

Nationals 5, Cardinals 4: At St. Louis, Brian Schneider homered to help Washington beat the Cardinals. Albert Pujols and Jim Edmonds homered for St. Louis in the fourth inning.

Padres 8, Brewers 6: At San Diego, rookie Kevin Kouzmanoff’s grand slam carried Greg Maddux and the Padres to a victory over Milwaukee. Prince Fielder and J.J. Hardy both homered for the Brewers.

Diamondbacks 13, Astros 3: At Phoenix, Mark Reynolds homered twice and went 5 for 5 with four RBIs to help Arizona beat Houston. Arizona tied a club record with eight runs and eight hits in the sixth inning.

Phillies 8, Braves 3: At Atlanta, Greg Dobbs snapped a tie with a two-run single in the seventh inning and Philadelphia beat the Braves.

Rockies 5, Giants 3: At San Francisco, Kaz Matsui singled in the go-ahead run in the ninth inning and Colorado beat the Giants. Barry Bonds went 0 for 3 with a walk.

Dodgers 9, Cubs 8: At Los Angeles, the Dodgers used a four-run eighth inning to rally and beat Chicago. A Juan Pierre sacrifice fly drove in pinch-runner Brady Clark for the go-ahead run.
