Eagles still unsure of QB
Donovan McNabb didn’t practice Thursday, and the quarterback’s availability for the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend against the NFC West-leading Seattle Seahawks is still in doubt.
McNabb has been sidelined since spraining his ankle and thumb in a win over the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 18. Coach Reid said McNabb’s ankle was sorer than his thumb and that he was trying to get to the point where he could “push off” on the ankle.
That didn’t happen Thursday, as backup A.J. Feeley worked with the first team.
Bulger will sit Sunday
A concussion will keep St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger out of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Rams have held him out of practice the last two days and elevated quarterback Brock Berlin from the practice squad to the active roster on Wednesday, anticipating Bulger would be out this week.
Williams has surgery
Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams underwent surgery to repair a season-ending injury to his right pectoral muscle.
Williams was hurt Monday at Pittsburgh, his first game in nearly two years. He was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
Rehabilitation for Williams is expected to take five months. The injury came in his first game since returning from a 1 1/2 -year suspension for violating the NFL drug policy.
