Idaho QB Enderle to miss 3 games after hand surgery
MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho coach Robb Akey says redshirt freshman quarterback Nathan Enderle will miss the next three games after having surgery on his throwing hand.
Enderle tore the tissue that holds the tendon in place on the top of his middle knuckle in the Vandals’ loss to No. 16 Hawaii Saturday. Akey says the tendon was sutured in place during Monday’s surgery, and should take three weeks to heal.
The Lewiston Tribune reports that Enderle will be replaced by Brian Nooy, a senior who first joined the program in 2004.
Enderle completed just 15 of 34 passes for 186 yards, but also threw five interceptions Saturday. Hawaii routed Idaho 48-20 in Moscow.
